Yunita Kibor, the 4th spouse of prominent Uasin Gishu farmer Jackson Kibor, has eulogised the late president that is former Moi as a strict time-keeper and a frontrunner whom invested greatly into the training of Kenyan young ones during their 24-year reign.
Talking at her Eldoret house in Uasin Gishu County on Wednesday, February 5, Yunita, 39, stated the loss of Moi has “saddened me personally as a leader” because I loved him.
“We are saddened by Mzee Moi’s death because we adored him. I benefited from Moi’s free milk programme when I was a child. There have been times he’d go to the school that is primary had been studying at, and then we would sing for him. I became one of the pupils whom entertained the then-Head of State, ” Yunita told Citizen Television’s mid-day programme, Sema na Citizen.
“Mzee Moi had been a time-keeper that is strict. He would be somewhere at 10am, he would make sure that by 10am, he was at the venue, ” added Yunita when he said.
“I thank Mzee Moi for purchasing children’s training. Most of the schools that are good parents are scrambling for today, had been built during Moi’s era. ”
“My husband and I visited Moi at their Kabarak house a while right straight back, and I also saw their flooring tiles, and I also implored my spouse to get tiles much like the people I saw at Moi’s place.
